How it works

As just another ordinary day is about to come to a close, suddenly the music and thunderstorm sound effect is played and everyone’s ears perk up…

Use our script, clues, sound effects, and posters to create a parody 1940’s serial radio show, distributed at your convenience as an email or text link, that will have your staff cracking up with every clue and working together to solve the mystery.

Wadsworth, the restaurant’s late-night butler, has witnessed something suspicious but is bound by the Butler’s Code not to reveal it directly. Instead, he’s cleverly provided puzzles and clues that help you eliminate what he didn't see. By following these hints and the storyline throughout the week, clever players can deduce the final solution, save the building, and win a prize.

How much time or extra budget is involved?

The instructions take about 30-45 minutes to review and customize for your week. Daily preparation requires around 15 minutes to record your “podcast” using our script and sound effects, print clues, and hang posters. No special props or setup is required, and you can easily have it up and running the next day if needed.

Everything is included other than prizes for your own staff. Most places do 4-5 daily prizes (caramel apples, bonus meals, etc.) and then one grand prize for the winner which can be almost anything (a cake, gift certificate, get to leave early on Halloween, etc.)
